Forget 411, Forget Google....Meet Cha Cha

Did I just say forget google? That feels like blasphemy. I take it back. I love google.

But sometimes cha cha might be a better solution. Chacha is a service that can answer any question you have about anything. You can text (or email or even twitter I think...) your question to Chacha (see chacha.com for details) and a real person will research it and send you a message back. So it can produce more accurate (or at least amusing) results than just a regular search.

So if you want to try it send your question via text to: 242242
Oh yeah, it's free, except for any text messaging charges included in your plan, etc...

You can ask real questions like (real questions asked by me, real answers from them):

Q: "Where is the closest book store, zip 84003?"?
A: "Deseret Book Store is located at 465 N 990 W, American Fork, UT 84003 and can be reached at (801) 763-7131. Thanks for using Chacha!"

or questions they could have no way of knowing (they can be your magic 8 ball, crystal ball, etc)

Q: "Will my first baby be a boy or girl?"
A: "ChaCha thinks your firstborn will be a son who will become the heir to your throne!" So good to know!

or important questions that pertain to real life when you are stuck in a car away from the internet and google (unless your husband has an iphone)

Q: "Where can I park for free in SLC on a Thursday between 4 and 7 pm?"
A: "Parking meters are only enforced from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., M-F. Try South Temple St. between 200 and 300 West Chacha!"

You can also search and browse previously answered questions online. Crucial information you've always wanted to know like:

"Why is Twilight called Twilight"

So many potential answers? But which one is true?

-It may be titled twilight for the reason that innocence and beauty could spell disaster! ~ChaCha on [what? random answer]
-Twilight was not easy to name. The word twilight was on a list of "words with atmosphere" they wanted to try out, and it stuck.
-At the end of the book Edward says to Bella "are you ready for this to be the twilight of your life" That's how I saw it
-Twilight is called that because twilight is the safest time for vampires. Also, Bella is leaving her old life, and is in twilight
-Stephanie Myer does not divulge why she called the book Twilight, Twilight. Chacha again soon and have a great night!

So what do you think, have you tried ChaCha? If not, try it soon, so useful! And free, I like free.

1 little remarks:

Felicity said...

I was so VERY in to ChaCha last summer. But as more and more people got to hearing about, the quality of service and answers dropped dramatically. I rarely use them anymore because I have received loads of incorrect answers to easy questions.

"Is Grey's Anatomy on tonight?"
"Is there an Arby's in West Valley?"

WRONG WRONG WRONG. The idea is fun, but they don't always come through.
