Quiet Book Giveaway Nominees - Please Vote

It's time to vote!

How can I decide? How can anyone below, I don't know how I'll decide. So I think the best way is going to be to get your votes and then maybe for each vote they get a slip of paper in the drawing and then I draw....I don't know. But somehow the voting with be incorporated. So please vote, you can even do it without leaving google reader. Here are their explanations for why you should vote for them (such great moms!!)

[Note: Shirlene, I left you off because I'm going to help you make yours & Jessie, I left you off since you and I are going to be quiet book making buddies]

Oh and someone emailed me saying I need to post pictures of the Quiet Book I'm giving away...I will post it as I make each page (and the one I giveaway may have less cutesifiying bells and whistles---it'll do all the same stuff---but maybe a few less bells and whistles to keep the costs down for me). Anyway, so fyi, the first page will be up next week--maybe Sunday or Monday.

I have been reading your blog for a couple of months. To be honest, I don't even remember how I found it! This is such an amazing giveaway! I am ALWAYS looking for ways to entertain my kids at church. I have a 5 year old daughter and two year old twins (boys). My husband is the bishop, so its pretty much just me and the kiddos. The only thing that I have found that really works is to feed them the ENTIRE time. But I would really like to move away from that! I am NOT crafty, but I love that other people are!!! The religious themed quiet book would be PERFECT for us!

I love to read your blog when I can - you have some great ideas that get sparks going in my brain. I have 4 kids and 1 more due in September! This book would be great for me because the older 3 are pretty good to sit and keep themselves busy - it's the 2 1/2 year old that we can't keep contained. Right now, I can't see how we are going to be able to keep her in her seat for more than 5 minutes. I would love this book so at least 1 of us can enjoy Sacrament meeting while the other is out with the baby. This is a wonderful idea and thank you for thinking it up!

I'm not a consistent blog comment-leaver but I do love your awesome, creative ideas! Here's why you should choose the GARNER family for your quiet book giveaway (in an acrostic style poem):

Gregarious boys during church always wander, I'd much prefer they'd learn and ponder!

Army wife to a soldier deployed to Iraq, I’m counting down the months until he gets back.

Recently called as the RS Pres. (YIKES),

NO TIME to craft (but its one of my likes)!

Entertaining my boys singlehandedly gets wild! A great quiet book would make them more mild.

REALLY would love this book to win, it would make Max and Ezra grin, grin, grin.

Thanks for considering us, Anna!!!

SO, I didn't read the above comments. :) I figured that if I did I would just leave off and not even enter because I would feel guilty. I am SURE there is some other mom far more worthy to recieve your gift, but I thought I'd throw my hat in for fun.

If you read my blog at all you know that I constantly lament the fact that I am not crafty. I really like cute things, but I just can't do it. I can't bring myself to learn how to do it. I can't sew, I can't knit or do anything nifty like that, and I can't even make simple crafts like cards..... :) When I read your craftiness I'm always thinking, "I really should try to do more of that," but I never do. I'd rather read, or play with my kids, or learn a new instrument. :)

In any case - I plan on having more than 2 children.... maybe 6 (WHO KNOWS) and a quiet book is always a life saver. I would love it. I know Claire would love it, and Linus will in a few months, not to mention their future siblings.

Now to pour on the sap stories. I haven't slept well in 7 months. Yes, feel bad for me. JUST KIDDING!! :)

I also just got called to the RS presidency and I have a very horrible feeling that I might get called as the president (I'll keep my fingers crossed that the Lord doesn't have that in store for me). So I have limited time to do anything right now and making a quiet book would be quite out of the question.

You are soooo amazing!! Thanks for sharing your talents and craftiness.

Hopefully this isn't over, I never had time to write anything . . . which tells you why I never have time to make anything such as a quiet book. My kids are full of energy, we have sacrament meeting last, and we're about to add another small body to our pew . . . need I explain to the masses the intracacies of our situation? Quiet them, and I'll be your best friend.

Wow! What deserving moms...I must admit, I had to vote for two: Emily #1 and Heather...(Is that allowed??) I voted for these two because: Emily--Umm...I can't even IMAGINE what church would be like without my husband present and I don't even have kids! Bishopric wives are SAINTLY as far as I'm concerned; especially when they have small children. Heather--again, I can't even begin to imagine what church (or really, life for her) would be like without a husband! Granted, I know her, but I'll be honest, military wives are my heroes. Such amazing and deserving women who rarely ask for help!

Good luck choosing, Anna...This is a toughy.
